Alternate Tangled Part 2

“Alright Eugene, take us to this tower of yours,” said the King.

“Of course,” said Eugene as he made Maximus ride. The King, queen, and guards followed behind on their owns horses.

“Honey, what exactly do think we should do about Flynn or Eugene or whatever the heck he wants us to call him,” asked the Queen.

“Well, I should probably go easy on him given that he is helping us find our daughter,” said the King.

“I know, I meant about him being in love with her,” said the Queen.

“I don’t know. I think we should leave it up to our daughter if she returns his feelings. Personally, other than his past crimes as a thief, I think he is a man of good character,” said the King.

“Between you me, I think when it comes to good looks, our daughter could do far far worse. Just as handsome as you were when were his age,” said the Queen smiling. The King smiled back.

“Your highnesses, you are not considering letting this thief on the throne are you?” said the Captain of the Guard, who hates Flynn Rider so much. “I mean surely just pardoning his crimes, giving him a little gold, and telling him to get lost would suffice.”

“That will be his consolation if it turns out our daughter does not want him. I am not deciding for her who she can or can’t get married to and I certainly won’t let you,” said the King.

“You know I can hear you you guys all the way from here and thanks for the compliments,” said Eugene/Flynn. The King, Queen, and Captain looked at him in shock and embarrassment. They then arrive at the curtain of plants.

“There is nothing here Rider!” said the Captain.

“On the contrary,” Eugene says as he moves them out of the way to reveal a cave that leads to the Tower.

“No wonder no one found this place before,” the King says as everyone dismounts their horses.

“Rapunzel?! Rapunzel, let down your hair,” said Eugene up to the Tower. Then a large amount of golden hair fell out the window.

“You weren’t kidding about a lot of hair, I am guessing the power loss made hair cuts out of the question,” said the king.

“Yeah now time to meet you daughter and her ‘mother,’ and keep it quiet. You guys will be a pleasant surprise for Rapunzel. That and if Gothel is up there, she will only be prepared to fight me. She won’t take into account you two and the Captain. I am not sure how many people Rapunzel can pull at a time so we should not go up all at once or else we could seriously kill her. You guys will have to follow when I climb all the way up. Got it?” said Eugene.

“Good thinking,” said the Queen. Eugene climbed up to find Rapunzel chained up and gagged while screaming. Then Gothel came out of the shadows and stabbed Eugene. The King got up just then, saw what happened and grabbed Gothel’s arm and took her knife away. The Queen followed and then the Captain shocked by what happened.  

“For kidnapping and attempted murder, I hereby place you under arrest. Now the key to our daughters bonds if you please,” said the King. Gothel scared for her life give him the key. The Queen takes the key and goes to free her daughter.

“Thanks,” Rapunzel says as she stares at her parents. “Mom, Dad?” she says and hugs them finally reunited.

“What do you mean attempted murder. We won’t make it to a hospital before he dies,” said the Captain secretly smiling.      

“Oh my God Eugene, hang on,” she says as she wraps her hair around him and begins her healing incantation.

“Flower, gleam and glow
Let your power shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine
Heal what has been hurt

Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine…

Eugene wakes up fully healed. “Rapunzel you are my new dream,” he says.

“And you are mine,” said Rapunzel. They then share a kiss. The Captain sighed.

“Also did you meet your parent here,” he said gesturing to the King and Queen.

“Yes, I was hugging them before I realized you were dying, sorry,” said Rapunzel apologetically.

“Its fine, you spent eighteen years away from them. Also I believe this is yours,” Eugene said pulling out her crown.

“You stole the crown again?” asked the King.

“No I just think you would like to give it to Rapunzel when you found her. If anything I just helped you give the crown to it’s rightful owner,” he said putting the crown on Rapunzels head.

“Can’t argue with that logic,” said the Queen.

“Also meet my pet Chameleon, Pascal,” Rapunzel asks showing Pascal. Pascal makes a bowing gesture.

“Oh he is adorable,” said the Queen. Pascal turns red from blushing.

“Let’s go home so we can discuss what we do with this witch. Also to discuss a Flynn Rider’s pardon and a Eugene Fitzherbert’s wedding plans,” said the King.

“Yay,” said Rapunzel.

“Thank you, your majesty,” said Eugene.

The end.

Just kidding. There are some loose ends to tie up.
